Antabax Announces Winners of 1st Ever National Hygiene Doodle Competition

Yesterday I got to follow mummy as a kid blogger to the Antabax 1st National Hygiene Doodle Competition which was held at the National Visual Art Gallery.

I have been to the National Visual Art Gallery with my mummy and babah, but I have never seen so many people there before, until yesterday.

They were all there to find out who won the Doodling competition by Antabax. I have also entered this contest, but sadly, I wasn't among the finalist.

If you must know, I live doodling and my mummy and babah has always given be lots of drawing blocks and note books to draw and doodle. I usually have my book and pen in my bag.

According some, doodles are spontaneous marks of patterns or images  of objects, people, faces, etc done on practically any surface, but normally on paper or even table napkins.

It was once thought of as a waste of time, but recent research in neuroscience , psychology and design shows that doodling helps people to stay more focused, and enable people to grasp new concepts in an easier manner as well as retain information.

There were 60 doodles displayed all over the hall of the National Visual Art Gallery and I could not help myself as I admire the drawings with my mummy.

They are all very pretty and I really like some of them very much. They also inspire me to do better in my future drawings...

The judges had to choose the best few out from a total of 2,451 entries!!! Oh wow!!! That must be hard, don't you think...

Anyway, in the first place in their respective categories were Louis Fong Jin, 12 years old from HELP International School (primary category), Siti Balkis Mahd Salleh Masari, 17 years old from SMK Puncak Alam, Selangor (secondary category) and Mohammad Nur Syafiq Bin Azhar, 22 from Universiti Teknologi Mara Bandaraya Melaka (tertiary category)

They each received RM3,000 and an Antabax product hamper for their creativity and skill.

This picture is of the lucky winners and their prize. Congratulations!!!

Sekolah Kebangsaan Assunta Satu from Petaling Jaya was the school with the most entries, with 399 students sending in their entries. The school received RM3,000 in cash for their combined effort.
